I just am having a hard time with procrastination at the moment.

So, they have won twice with Bon Voyage! I am so proud of them and Insomnias! We’re doing so well! It’s so great to see them get the recognition they deserve!

Intro: From Us

Yeah, I’m jumping straight in.

Dreamcatcher is pretty consistent with their intros. They always work really well and do the job they’re meant to do.

They introduce the album, give you a taste of the mood of the album and also give a hint to the title track. This intro is no different, a ten out of ten.

Bon Voyage

The beginning of the song is a little slow for me. It feels like it takes a while to warm up but when we get to the first pre chorus, that’s when the song really gains its fire (for me).

The way Siyeon comes in! I love it, I love how she pops out from the back and storms to the front.

Hearing her sing that part live is about to be amazing!

As always their looks have been serving, they’ve had some cute stage outfits over the course of the comeback. Is it my favourite era of style? No, surprisingly I think Odd Eye has me by the throat. Ooh, Odd Eye was so good!

The lyrics had me thinking it was about an unrequited love or like a love that is leaving as they’re saying they’ll follow them or won’t give up but in the end wish them a bon voyage (a good journey). But then the mv has me thinking they’re still on their nature/environmental theme. So, in the end. I am in the middle. I haven’t figured it out.

Tangent, but this is Sua’s era. Did you hear her high note! Her hitting those notes whilst Jiu bursts in with the “Bon Voyage!” Perfection.

Demian

This song is such a bop. That feels like an old term but when it fits, it fits.

I love the instrumentals in this one, it just hits the spot and has me gently head banging along. (The intensity of the head banging depends on my mood and weather… it’s too hot right now… why is England a sauna when hot?).

I love the pre chorus, especially when Dami comes in. I love the adlibs that she does, just *chefs kiss*. When I saw them in concert Dami stole my heart. I am Jiu biased but wow, Dami came for me!

Propose

The greatest curse … or was it the most twisted curse, is love. The Great Gojo once said. When Siyeon softly sings, ‘Love’s a curse’ that scene immediately pulled into my mind.

*soul deep sigh* *tries not to think about Satosugu*

I love how at that part the song blends from Sua to Jiu.

This song is great! On first listen this song was my favourite. I just vibed with it straight away. I love the vocals and the emotion they portray through their singing.

Also, my girl, Dami. She killed! She raps, asking some hard hitting questions, and also belts it out in the final chorus?! Get you a girl who can do both.

The song is mostly in English but Korean is in there too. Gahyeon really stood out to me in this song. She sang and she owned the English lyrics.

Ooh, this is another song I can’t wait to see live.

To. You

The last song! This album is too short! I mean it is an EP but still!

They end the mini album on a soft note. Propose did slow things down when comparing to Demian but To. You definitely takes us into that wind down sweet spot.

It’s a sweet song to listen to and a good one for a night time playlist or a chill playlist.

So, I checked out the EP when it dropped on Spotify and that’s when I was feeling Propose the most. As time has passed Demian has crept up there and may steal the top spot in my heart.

My favourite album is still Alone in the City, I know ironic as they refuse to acknowledge my girl What.

However, this is a solid EP from start to finish. I love how it goes From Us, To You, that’s super cute.

Also, I checked out the lyrics as I wrote this post because *procrastination* (must sing the word), however having finished… I think my first thought about the meaning of Bon Voyage is right. It’s about a one sided love because the whole album feels one sided. Propose feels toxic like girl… let them go it ain’t worth it. So yeah, it’s like a journey through their intense love for this person till we get to, To. You.
