So I did not grow up in the U.S. nor do I live there now but I knew the Backstreet Boys as a kid. They were the quintessential boy band of the 90’s for me. The hair, the clothes and the pretty boy looks, they had it all! I know NSYNC existed then too but I didn’t know them, shocking for some people I know but I really didn’t.

To this day when I hear their songs I get hit with the nostalgia.

When I used to listen to them as a kid I used to think they made me feel close to American teenagers. I was like, “Is this what it feels like to be American?” It also reminded me The Princess Diaries the first movie. Josh reminded me of the Backstreet Boys, I’d watch that movie and think, I’m surprised he hasn’t been scouted to sing yet.

I’m British so my favourite British boy band was Blue and Backstreet Boys felt like an American Blue. They were cool like Blue and hot like Blue and fun like Blue.

I was this close to being a super fan and then they broke up and I was like, “Aww”.

They were good at making sad songs, songs about romance and song to make you dance! They were just a fun group.

I got a chance to go to a Blue concert when I was in University and it was the best thing ever. If Backstreet Boys ever do a reunion tour someone tell me so that I can go! That would be such a great night.

Anyway I just wanted to share my love for Backstreet Boys.
