I am very shy at this sort of thing.

Anyway, I started a project to republish my books. If you’ve been on my blog before then you know that I have self-published two books. Now, I can’t tell you whether they’ve done terribly or if they’ve done well because I haven’t seen the sales report which apparently you’re supposed to see.

So I got approached by a company that offered to republish my books at a more affordable price and they’d produce a sales report.

Why is the sales report important? Because since my second self-published book I’ve been trying to get published by a traditional publishing house and they always ask me for this and the report determines whether they’ll pay for the publishing of my book or if we’ll do it 50/50.

It encourages them to invest in me basically and I would like to be a successful author and I don’t want to give up until I can genuinely say I tried my absolute best!

The company that approached me is Great Writers Media. I have already managed to pay to republish The Chief’s Revenge so the gofundme funds is to go to the marketing of The Chief’s Revenge, more specifically to get the book in book stores… in the UK!

How cool would that be? I’ve always wanted to have my book in Waterstones *cries*

And the other half of the funds would go to A Classic Case of Deja Vu to republish it and to get it in book stores.

Y’all, A Classic Case of Deja Vu is the first book I finished at age 16 (I started it at around 15 or 14) and it has been a labour of love. It has been so difficult to edit it because the way it was written originally was very episodic and for my friends at school and very much filled with inside jokes. I also didn’t know how to show and not tell so I was very heavy handed with some scenes.

Now that some time has passed and I’ve finished more stories and I’ve improved my skills I have edited it to a place where I am very happy with it. So I actually would love to republish this book as I really want to give it a chance… fly book fly!
