I swear most of the epic movies in my life I discover on the plane. I mean I knew Mad Max was out and I heard people saying it was great but I never saw it in the cinema.

For one I wasn’t sure I’d like it, I’m not into gore and so I was apprehensive.

For two, so many good movies are coming out these days it’s kind of hard to see all of them, especially as a student living that broke life.

But I can’t sleep on planes so I thought hey Mad Max is here and I’m alone so why don’t I watch it?

Best decision ever!

It was like when I watched Clash of the Titans on the plane. It is such a good movie! The action in it was splendid and just so good. I know I’m not being very descriptive but I don’t know what to say other than it was epic.

I really thought I would hate it but I couldn’t, I just couldn’t.

I’m not going to lie I thought it was weird at first, the characters were interesting and reminded of some distopian movie I had been forced to watch in English at school.

Side bar: why is it that in our future we all go crazy and a little weird?

Anyway back on topic, I was like Hmm Interesting but I kind of liked that it was weird. It was different and so that was a bonus.

It was also a bonus that the plot was so simple, it just made everything easier. People are obsessed with these hyper complicated plots these days but sometimes simple is really the way to go. It’s straight forward and to the point and doesn’t leave the audience sitting there like “I don’t understand what’s just happened”

In it’s simplicity the action was amazing. They’re just driving but they come up with pretty creative ways to fight whilst on the road. It was epic! I can’t stress this enough.

My hat goes off to the cinematographer because the shots in the movie… wow… this may be the inner action junkie in me but wow…

Yeah I have nothing bad to say about this movie. Apart from the fact that I still don’t get Max, like does he see ghosts or what? And is there going to be a second one? Will we ever see Furiosa again because I loved her, she was the highlight of this movie. (Charlize Theron always is to be honest).

So yeah another epic movie discovered on a plane. This is my life.

Ps: Nicholas Hoult rocked, he’s becoming one of my favourite actors. I would say more but that would be a spoiler.
