Sometimes you forget all the good things that have happened in your life.
Bad things happen and you kind of get absorbed in them. You get swallowed by the bad feelings and it becomes all that you can see.
Sometimes when my friends talk to me when they’re going through a hard time I have to remind them of all the good they have done in their lives. I remind them of how special they are and how much potential they have.
I thought I was immune to those feelings. I thought I was always able to see the light or the silver lining. But no one is immune we all have our moments of darkness.
So I was looking through a picture diary I once kept and in one section I kept a prayers answered picture diary. It was so amazing! I had forgotten all those good times, all the ways that God had looked after me and created opportunities for me. I had forgotten how he’d answered my prayers.
I was so happy to find that picture diary because it brought me out of the shadows and reminded to count my blessings. To practice what I preach.
The darkest hour is before the dawn but God is always with you. He blesses you in so many ways it’s unreal and sometimes we forget this.
What I’m trying to say is, write them down, draw them or record them, write a blog about them, whatever you do count your blessings and record them so that you never forget how you’ve been blessed. You never know remembering them and seeing how you’ve been blessed may bring you out of a dark time.
That is all,
ciao!
